What this site collects, and what happens to it

This site sets no cookies. There's no analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording, and no third-party script of any kind — the site's content security policy allows nothing from another origin, so there is nowhere for one to hide.

You can read these pages without telling us anything about yourself, and we won't know you were here beyond the ordinary server logs described below.

If you send us a message, we collect exactly what the form asks for:

It's sent to a monitored inbox as an email, and that's the whole journey. We don't store submissions in a database, we don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't pass anything to anyone who isn't answering you.

The email is delivered through Resend, a transactional email provider. They handle the message in transit as our processor and don't use it for anything of their own.

We keep messages for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation, and we delete them when that stops being true. If you'd like yours deleted sooner, ask and we'll do it.

People sometimes tell us more than they mean to in a first message. We aren't a healthcare provider, this form isn't a medical record, and email isn't a confidential channel — so tell us only what you need to for us to be useful, and keep diagnoses and treatment history out of it. We'll never ask for them.

If you're in crisis, the Veterans Crisis Line is free, confidential and answered around the clock: dial 988 then press 1, or text 838255. It's a better destination than a form we answer in a few days.

To stop scripts flooding the form, the server counts recent submissions against the IP address a request arrives from. Those counts are held in memory for ten minutes and then discarded. They aren't written to a database, they aren't linked to your message, and they aren't used for anything else.

The form also carries a hidden field that a person never sees or fills in, and it times how long the form was open. Both are anti-spam checks and neither tells us anything about you.

The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs — IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. That's ordinary web-server operation rather than anything we do with it, and we don't build profiles from those logs.

We aren't taking online donations yet. When we do, the processing will happen on the provider's own pages rather than here — your payment details won't touch this site — and this page will say who they are before that goes live.

Our programs are for adults and this site isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact form and mark it as something else. We'll deal with it ourselves — there's no process to go through.

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. We won't quietly broaden it.
